The Dentofacial Orthopedics Goal is mainly the early attention, during childhood. That is when children are about to move teeth and the mixed dentition shows up (both "baby" and permanent teeth are present). Dentofacial Orthopedics works in coordination with the facial and jaw bones growth. Maxillary and jaw are the bones who house teeth. Orthodontics (braces and other assistive devices such as archs and elastics), are used to align teeth, whether when permanent teeth are present or to end a Dentofacial Orthopedics Treatment (see "Dentofacial Orthopedics" section for details)
